Now President Furniture already FSC Certified, That is proof of our concern about environmental issues, we will continue to strive toobey the regulations concerning the environment. With our participation in the FSC,we participate in forest conservation in the world, especially in Indonesia.
“The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international body accreditation of certification bodies to ensure authenticity of their claims. In all cases, the certification process will begin voluntarily by forest owners and managers seek the services of certification bodies. The goal of FSC is promote environmentally responsible, socially and economically beneficial sustainable forest management in the world, creating the world recognized standards and principles of Forest Stewardship. ”
Or, in layman’s terms, is a global non-governmental organizations has created a series of guidelines which, if followed, will help reduce negative impact on economic, environmental and social impacts of forest management.
Now, Reasons is a good idea to use FSC products:
1. This is good for the environment.
Guidelines for FSC certification guarantees that forests are not broken to the point of degradation and natural systems remain intact. Under these guidelines, the forest can not be collected without purpose or carelessly. They must be registered to maintain the natural flow habitat, economic viability (for all forest products) and to avoid use of hazardous chemicals, fertilizers and pesticides. GMOs also prohibited under FSC guidelines.
2. This is good for the people.
Part of this certification is to ensure that all local, regional and more global and / or agreements are followed. This is to prevent illegal transportation or collection of goods. The guidelines also ensure that indigenous peoples and workers’ rights are maintained and respected.
3. That’s good for the forest.
These principles are designed to allow forests to be harvested in such a to encourage regeneration and growth in the forest. This creates longevity and healthy habitat for our natural resources.
